Jeff Tuomi brings a quarter century of business success to KDC, with substantial experience in both the education and technology fields. Whether executing difficult turnarounds, integrating complicated acquisitions, or establishing startup businesses, at the core of Jeff's success is an ability to identify customers' strategic needs.
Before joining KDC, Jeff founded and grew a pair of innovative Web-based firms. GateSure is an innovative provider of security solutions for upscale gated communities; CapSure provides automated data backup solutions and was sold to Tenet Data. Prior to those startups, Jeff led the successful turnaround of a large plastics manufacturer, leading to the profitable sale of that business to Sonoco.
During the late 1990s, Jeff served as national sales manager for Oracle Corporation's Education Division and followed that with operating responsibilities for a large Oracle consulting and education firm. Prior to that, he lived in London and directed worldwide marketing and European distribution for a Fortune 500 firm.
While living in the U.K., Jeff completed database management studies at Oxford University. He also holds a B.S. degree from Georgia Tech and is a graduate of both the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School and the U.S. Naval Submarine School.
As KDC's day-to-day operations leader, John Cox instills a can-do attitude throughout the organization. Mr. Cox also serves as the president of EdEvent, a closely aligned firm that leverages classroom training by deploying browser-based content that's delivered at the "moment of need."
Throughout much of his career, John has excelled at driving the success and growth of small and startup businesses. Prior to joining KDC, John consulted with Internet-based CRM "loyalty" database applications and Internet marketing campaigns for targeted search-engine-optimization. He also led a leveraged buyout of a software company that developed feature-rich multimedia courses teaching personal computer skills that ultimately was loaded onto some five million Dell desktop computers.
Lori Erlacher is a seasoned meeting specialist with a strong record of success in the hospitality industry, including tenures with the Sheraton and Radisson hotel chains. In her role as a Business Development Manager, Lori serves as KDC's event coordination specialist, drawing on her meeting experience and extensive contacts to ensure trouble-free customer training sessions. Lori also draws on her overseas experience, including a management position at conference hotel in Europe, to bring valuable international capabilities to KDC customers with a global presence.
Most of Angela Weaver's five-year tenure with KDC has focused on building enduring client relationships, which is why she takes a 360-degree approach to serving each customer that begins with the very first contact. This ability to understand customer requirements enables Angela to provide special team support in the area of site selection to ensure that the location, the facility, and associated amenities match the client's needs. Angela also is adept at working with a wide range of facility managers to make sure that the training classroom is prepared properly and reflects KDC's commitment to getting it right.
As KDC's networking expert, Chuck Hendricks leverages his degree in Network Administration, multiple certifications, and years of hands-on experience to provide customers with secure, reliable connectivity regardless of their technical needs. Chuck's extensive background in hotel management, along with his emphasis on teamwork, translates into a proactive environment that heads-off potential problems and ensures a trouble-free customer experience. Chuck strives to exceed client and student expectations by bringing a sense of urgency, and a healthy dose of fun, to every interaction.
