The Seattle Space Needle is a major attraction located in the heart of the city. Built for the 1962 World's Fair, it rises 605 feet and when completed was the tallest structure west of the Mississippi River. The observation deck at the top of the Space Needle features panoramic views, a rotating restaurant, and a gift shop.
